Moving from toddler to little boy!
Austin's ouchie
Austin did such a good job! We are just thankful there was not a fracture. He has been really great about not pulling the splint off. The doctor said it will take about two weeks to heal. We retapped the splint this morning, I won't post pictures of that, there was alot more bruising today...ewww.

Ft Worth Gardens
We recently went to the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens. It is a place I love to visit. Kevin and I had our engagement pictures taken there over 7 years ago. Below are some pictures of the boys from last years trip compared to this year. If you click on the link at the top of the page on the right it will take you to our albums and all the pictures from this year are there.
Vacation blues... :-(
Ok, so I am on vacation this week and could we get a little more rain please. I mean really I didn't want to spend any time out in the sun or anything! If you detected some sarcasm then you would be on target. I have of course LOVED being home soaking up all the time I can with the kiddos. We have managed to get to the water park once and hope to get there a couple of more times. We may just pack up and drive somewhere, where there is NO sign on RAIN or any other form of moist air particles falling towards the ground!!! So, I will look at this lovely picture and daydream of being there floating around without a worry in the world.Sunday, June 24, 2007

HAPPY FATHER"S DAY
We celebrated with a homemade Father's Day breakfast/brunch. I wanted to make something special so when we went to Central Market I purchased a loaf of Challah bread. I have heard it makes killer french toast. I always try to make something new and ineteresting for special holidays. So for today I made hashbrowns and eggs, I did make Kevin's medium over easy, his favorite. They turned out perfect! Now for the french toast. I made the batter with eggs, milk and orange extract. The receipe asks for Grand Marnier...but we were fresh out!! I then made a strawberry creamcheese mixture and cut the loaf up into really thick pieces. I made a pocket in the middle and stuffed the creamcheese mixture into each piece dipped it in the batter and onto the griddle!! I garnished with fresh blueberries and raspberries. Let me just say, I will be making that again...YUMMO!!!!!!!
Hopefully later the rain with subside long enough for us to grill our 1st steaks on the new grill and round out today with a nice anniversary dinner.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!! Tomorrow is our aniversary and we are getting one gift we can both enjoy! You may think getting a grill is more of a guys gift...it was actually my idea. Hello...having help cooking are you kidding?...I'll take all the help I can get. This will be our first grill and I can't wait to get it fired up. I wanted a charcoal grill because you just can't beat the flavor. I love this one because it looks like a smoker. Happy cooking Kevin!!! I love you!!!! :-)
